Side profile of a woman showing the chin and jawline in a calm clinic setting

Treatment overview

Chin contouring uses dermal filler to improve the projection, shape or definition of the chin. Because the chin influences the balance of the whole face, we assess your profile and proportions as a whole.

The plan is discussed in detail at consultation so you understand what may be achievable for you.

Potential benefits

  • May improve facial balance and profile
  • Non-surgical, tailored approach
  • Can complement jawline or lip treatment where appropriate
  • Hyaluronic acid filler options can be dissolved if needed

Results are not guaranteed and vary from person to person.

The procedure

The area is cleansed and assessed, and filler is placed with a needle or cannula at specific depths. Your practitioner reviews symmetry and balance throughout.

  • Possible bruising
  • A follow-up review may be offered

Aftercare

  • Avoid pressure on the area and sleeping face-down for 48 hours
  • Avoid heat, alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours
  • Avoid dental treatment for two weeks if possible
  • Contact us immediately about severe pain or skin colour changes
