Treatment overview

Mesotherapy involves delivering a tailored blend of ingredients — such as vitamins, amino acids or hyaluronic acid — into the upper layers of the skin through very fine micro-injections.

The blend and technique are chosen according to your skin type and concerns, which are assessed during your consultation.

The procedure

After cleansing, the chosen solution is applied using fine needles or a mesotherapy technique suited to the area. Sessions are relatively short, and a course is often recommended.

What to expect

• Mild redness and tiny marks at injection points
• Possible minor swelling or bruising
• Gradual changes over a course of sessions, which vary between individuals

Aftercare

• Avoid make-up for 12 hours
• Avoid sunbathing, saunas and intense exercise for 24–48 hours
• Use gentle skincare for a few days
• Wear SPF daily

Contraindications

Treatment may not be suitable if any of the following apply. Your full medical history is reviewed at consultation.

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Active skin infection, cold sores or inflammation in the treatment area
• Certain medical conditions or medications — these are reviewed at consultation
• Allergy to any ingredient in the chosen blend
• Diabetes or blood-clotting disorders (assessed at consultation)
